Where Artificial
Intelligence Meets
Agriculture.

PINEAPPLE 360 is South Asia's largest AI-powered pineapple processing facility — rising in the heartland of Bangladesh's pineapple production. Not a factory project with some technology. A technology project that happens to build a factory.

279,000tonnes grown yearly in Tangail
98%of every fruit becomes product
10,000+farmers on digital contracts
25,000tonnes CO₂ removed per year

The paradox

The raw material exists in abundance. What's missing is the intelligence to use it.

279,000

tonnes of pineapple grown every year in Tangail — 62% of Bangladesh's total output, and the #1 pineapple region in South Asia.

Yet — the value evaporates

  • 35%of every harvest is wasted before it reaches a market
  • Zeroprocessing factories exist in the region
  • <1%of global pineapple exports captured by Bangladesh
  • $0.27per fruit at peak season — below the cost of growing it

Post-harvest losses destroy an estimated US$30 million of national value every single year.

The vision

An AI-powered ecosystem that uses 100% of every pineapple.

PINEAPPLE 360 is not a factory. It is a complete intelligence layer — from satellite to shelf — that transforms how agriculture works.

Why now

Three forces converging for the first time.

  1. The AI Revolution

Satellite imagery is now free (Sentinel-2). Computer vision runs on a US$200 device. Large language models speak Bangla. Predictive models forecast yields 90 days out. Five years ago, none of this was affordable. Today, it costs less than a tractor.

  2. The Agriculture Gap

Bangladesh produces the fruit but captures zero downstream value. Post-harvest losses destroy US$30 million per year. Farmers earn below cost. The infrastructure gap is not closing on its own — it needs a technology-first solution.

  3. The Market Window

Duty-free access to the European Union closes in 2029. Global demand for traceable, ESG-certified food is surging. Carbon credit markets are paying US$120+ per tonne for biochar. A project launched now captures all three. One launched in 2030 misses them all.

AI in the field

From guesswork to precision.

The digital farmer ecosystem — built for 10,000 smallholders who may not read, may not have internet, and have never had a guaranteed price.

Satellite Yield Forecasting

Sentinel-2 NDVI imagery plus weather data predict farm-level yields 90 days before harvest. The factory knows exactly how much fruit is coming — and plans production accordingly.

Voice AI in Bangla

A fine-tuned language model delivers crop advisory by voice call — when to irrigate, when to harvest, which pests to watch. No literacy required. No internet required.

Digital Contracts & Mobile Pay

Every farmer gets a GPS-mapped profile, a digital contract with a guaranteed floor price, and bKash payment within 48 hours of delivery. No middlemen.

Parametric Weather Insurance

AI-driven weather models trigger automatic insurance payouts when rainfall or temperature thresholds are breached — protecting farmers without paperwork or claims.

AI in the factory

Industry 4.0 — every decision data-driven.

Computer Vision Grading

A camera system trained on 50,000+ images grades every fruit by ripeness, sugar content, size and defect in under one second — then routes it automatically to its optimal processing line.

Predictive Maintenance

Vibration and thermal sensors on every motor, pump and bearing. AI predicts equipment failure 7–21 days before it happens — eliminating unplanned downtime and protecting the lender's asset.

Energy Optimisation

A reinforcement-learning controller continuously adjusts steam, electricity and refrigeration loads — cutting energy consumption 15–20% while holding product quality.

Blockchain Traceability

Every batch is linked to its exact farm of origin on an immutable ledger. EU and US buyers scan a QR code and see the farmer's name, harvest date and quality data. Trust — verified.

AI does not replace the farmer. AI empowers the farmer.
The founding principle

The 360° model

Every part of every pineapple becomes a product.

  • 01FleshJuice, frozen, canned and dried fruit — the export volume tier.
  • 02CoreBromelain enzyme extraction for the pharmaceutical market — the value tier.
  • 03PeelVinegar, compost and biochar — energy, soil and carbon credits.
  • 04LeavesTextile fibre and speciality paper — a second crop from the same plant.

14 product lines · 4 revenue tiers · zero waste

AI for the planet

Carbon-negative by design — not by accident.

  • Biochar Carbon Removal

    12,000 tCO₂e/yr

Pineapple leaves and peels — today burned in the fields — are converted to biochar via pyrolysis, locking carbon into soil for 1,000+ years. AI-powered sensors verify every kilogram produced, enabling carbon credit issuance on global registries.

  • Renewable Energy

    6,000 tCO₂e/yr

2 MW of solar rooftop plus a biomass boiler fired by pineapple peel. AI optimises energy flow in real time, switching between solar, biomass and grid based on cost and carbon intensity.

  • Regenerative Agriculture

    7,000 tCO₂e/yr

Biochar is applied back to farmer fields, raising soil carbon. AI satellite monitoring verifies soil organic carbon accumulation across 5,000 hectares of contract farms.

  • Total climate contribution 25,000+ tonnes CO₂ removed or avoided per year

Questions

Everything, answered.

What is PINEAPPLE 360?
PINEAPPLE 360 is the largest AI-powered pineapple processing facility in South Asia, being developed in Madhupur, Tangail — the heartland of Bangladesh's pineapple production. It is an intelligence layer from satellite to shelf: AI forecasts yields before harvest, computer vision grades every fruit, reinforcement learning optimises factory energy, and blockchain verifies farm-to-fork traceability.
Where is the facility located?
Madhupur, in Tangail district, Bangladesh. Tangail grows roughly 279,000 tonnes of pineapple every year — about 62% of national output — making it the number one pineapple region in South Asia.
Why does Bangladesh need this?
The country grows the fruit in abundance but captures almost no downstream value. Around 35% of every harvest is wasted, there are effectively zero processing factories, under 1% of global exports are captured, and peak-season prices fall to about US$0.27 per fruit — below the cost of production. Post-harvest losses destroy roughly US$30 million per year.
How exactly is AI used?
In the field: Sentinel-2 NDVI satellite imagery and weather data forecast farm-level yields 90 days ahead; a Bangla voice AI delivers crop advisory with no literacy or internet required; AI weather models trigger parametric insurance payouts automatically. In the factory: computer vision trained on 50,000+ images grades every fruit in under a second; predictive maintenance flags equipment failure 7–21 days ahead; a reinforcement-learning controller cuts energy use 15–20%. For the planet: AI sensors verify biochar output for carbon credit issuance.
What does "360" actually mean?
98% of every pineapple becomes a product, across 14 product lines and four revenue tiers. Flesh becomes juice, frozen, canned and dried fruit. The core yields bromelain enzyme for pharmaceuticals. Peel becomes vinegar, compost and biochar. Leaves become textile fibre and paper. Nothing is treated as waste.
What is the environmental impact?
The project is carbon-negative by design, removing or avoiding more than 25,000 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent per year: 12,000 tCO₂e from biochar carbon removal, 6,000 tCO₂e from 2 MW rooftop solar plus a pineapple-peel biomass boiler, and 7,000 tCO₂e from regenerative agriculture across 5,000 hectares of contract farms.
What changes for farmers?
More than 10,000 farmers hold digital contracts with a guaranteed floor price, GPS-mapped farm profiles and bKash payment within 48 hours of delivery — with no middlemen. The project creates 2,500+ jobs with 40% women in the workforce, and cuts post-harvest loss from 35% to under 10%.
Who is behind it?
PINEAPPLE 360 was founded by Enam Chowdhury, a former Microsoft engineer and Silicon Valley AI specialist who built large-scale cloud and AI platforms serving millions of users. More at enam.xyz.
Can the model extend to other crops?
Yes. The AI farmer platform, smart factory architecture and carbon trading engine are crop-agnostic. Once proven with pineapple, the same system deploys to mango in Rajshahi (2.5M t/yr), jackfruit in Gazipur (1.8M t/yr), litchi in Dinajpur (80K t/yr) and spices in Sylhet (450K t/yr).
