Sustainability

Carbon-negative by design, not by accident.

Most food factories treat sustainability as a reporting exercise bolted on after commissioning. PINEAPPLE 360 inverts that: the waste stream is the carbon asset, and the carbon asset is a revenue line.

25,000tonnes CO₂e removed or avoided per year
2 MWsolar rooftop plus biomass boiler
5,000hectares under satellite soil monitoring
98%of every fruit converted to product

The carbon model

Three streams, one verified ledger.

  • Biochar carbon removal

    12,000 tCO₂e/yr

Pineapple leaves and peels — today burned in the open field — are pyrolysed into biochar, which locks carbon into soil for more than a thousand years. AI-powered sensors verify every kilogram produced, enabling credit issuance on global registries where biochar is clearing US$120+ per tonne.

  • Renewable energy

    6,000 tCO₂e/yr

Two megawatts of rooftop solar and a biomass boiler fired by the factory's own peel. An AI controller switches between solar, biomass and grid in real time on cost and carbon intensity — the cheapest electron is usually also the cleanest.

  • Regenerative agriculture

    7,000 tCO₂e/yr

Biochar returns to the farms that supplied the fruit, raising soil organic carbon and water retention. Satellite monitoring verifies accumulation across 5,000 hectares — the farmer's field becomes a measured carbon sink.

  • Total climate contribution 25,000+ tonnes CO₂ per year

Circularity

There is no waste stream. There are only under-used products.

Flesh

Juice, frozen, canned and dried fruit — the export volume tier.

Core

Bromelain enzyme for the pharmaceutical market — the highest value per kilogram in the plant.

Peel

Vinegar, compost and biochar — food, soil and carbon revenue from what used to be dumped.

Leaves

Textile fibre and speciality paper — a second crop harvested from the same plant.

14 product lines · 4 revenue tiers · 98% utilisation

Social outcomes

The climate case and the human case are the same case.

2,500+Jobs

With 40% women in the workforce — genuine rural industrialisation.

Food that was rotting in the field now reaches a market.

Global demand for traceable, ESG-certified food is surging, and duty-free access to the European Union closes in 2029. A project launched now captures the window. One launched in 2030 misses it.
